An endless passion for poetry, for voices,
for discovery, for people, for life.
Dayana Z. Lee is a youth activist, aspiring writer and spoken word poet. She began as an active member of Teens with a Purpose, a nonprofit youth development organization that empower young people to use their voices in a positive way to change the world. She joined the spoken word poetry world in 2014 and can be found on YouTube as “Zyaa Day”. Since her debut to the spoken word poetry world, she has been a finalist as a 2014 Move Maker, performed locally and has traveled to various states on the TWP Power Tour, placed in the top sixth at the Hyperbole in Washington, DC as well as won or placed in various poetry slams as a member of the Hampton Roads Youth Poets. She hopes to be the next big poet of her generation.
Spoken Word Artist
IT NEVER ENDS
Passion never dies. It grows
stronger every day.
— Dayana is a poet with undeniable impact on stage, very few her age have honoured the words ‘passionate performer’ adorned by critics and fans, yet her innate ability to dismantle a 2000+ audience in Washington DC’s BNV assured me that her future is destined to move you, whether you welcome the change or not. She’s got that special thing we are all searching for, witness the next generation’s impact, see her perform.
